Al Qaeda: Year in Review
See Bill Roggio's excellent global summary of the state of Al Qaeda's various insurgency/terror campaigns (hat tip: Belmont Club). One interesting item about the Ethiopian victory in Somalia that goes unsaid is that it may represent a proxy victory for the U.S. that has gone largely unnoticed in the western media. I don't believe that Ethiopia won the battle so decisively on their own. If so, add this to the list of quiet successes in the War on Terror.
